what is a sacrart goebel? Is it the name of the artist, store the goebels were made for, or maybe short for sacred heart?
Thank you for your help!
'Sacrart' is the Goebel trademark for the Sacral Art item family (madonnas, holy water fountains, etc.).
We have been collecting Goebels for over thirty years. The Goebel company have produced a multiple series of figurines in their 100 (?) years of production! The "SACRART" series is just ONE of the popular series that they produced; the Hummel series is considered the most known and popular. Please be assured that if it is vintage, in good condition, made in Germany, and at a fair price; then you have a good value. Some sell damaged pieces at a high price, so please be very careful in making a purchase on-line. Look for dealers that have a good reputation and a good "feedback" rating. We try to sell repaired items @ 1-2% book value, so that personal collectors can enjoy the figurine at a much more affordable cost and if it gets broken, then there are fewer tears. Please note, the Goebel Sacrart figurine of Madonna or Mary, holding her son, Jesus Christ on Good Friday; it is as beautiful than the much larger statue in Rome and easier to purchase and display in your home! It is undamaged, though at a fair price or lower than "market value". Also, notice the picture that shows the blue and silver "Sacrart" label on the bottom of this figurine. It is one that we will be listing soon in our store on e-Bay! Please, enjoy looking around at our new store, "Jim's Collectibles". Warm regards, Jim ; )
