I have a tea set consisting of 5 cups, 6 saucers, a tea pitcher and sugar bowl with mark of Dresdner Kunet, Pattern No. 148997,BAV63 by Bavaria. What would it be worth? It is pre-war. Thanks. It is Fr. St. Gold Flowers & Leaves.

Hello

I suggest that you attach clear photos of these pieces.

Kindly attach close-up photos of the backstamp/markings.

Thanks

"Dresdner Kunet" (corect: Dresdner Kunst) means "Dresden art" and implies decoration based on the school of art teached in Dresden.

"Pattern No. 148997" = probably item number

"BAV63" = meaningless (and prone to change) stock ID used by Replacements.com

"by Bavaria" = Nonsense. Bavaria is a STATE, not a MANUFACTURER.

So what does the manufacturer mean when writing "by Bavaria"?
