I have a set of Royal Stuart teas cups with saucers and matching dessert plates. It also says Spencer Stevenson England bone china on the bottom of each item. Each cup is a different color with matching saucer and plate in the same color. Trimmed in gold. Handle of cup is gold. Plates look like a flower. Was wondering how much they are worth

The information is not enough for identification. Please post a detailed description including marks and numbers and a picture.

Thanks! Maybe I'm happy to have it missing. Black doesn't seem to go with the set!
Any thoughts?

It's definitely a dark forest green colour that you are missing. I know, as I have the set. There is the lighter green, but I think you have that one. Good luck.

Thank you so much for your help! Does anybody have the dark green teacup, saucer, and plate that they are willing to sell, so I can complete my set?
Many thanks

Hello again,
I may be able to help you. I was also trying to complete my set. I was missing the dark green cup, the blue cup, and the pink saucer. I won a dark green cup, saucer and plate on eBay, but found that the cup and saucer, are slightly smaller than mine. I didn't know that they came in different sizes. Anyway, the diameter of the cup is the same, it's just the height that's different. Mine are 2 3\4"h and the new one is 2 1/4"h. My saucers measure 5 7/8"d and the new one is 5 1/2"d. The flat plates are the same. I'd be willing to let the set go, for what I paid for it, approx. $14.00 + shipping to the States(???) unless you want to pick it up in person from the Isle of Arran on your next visit to Britain. Don't know if this helps.

I knew you were going to ask for something like that. Only because I dread having to do something too technical on this contraption. I'm a bit of a dinosaur. I'm just writing this for the moment, so that you know I'm attempting to send the photos, and that they will follow eventually. (I have friends that are much more adept.) Fingers crossed!

Here are some more photos. The mark inside the cup is the green glaze. It seems to be from when it was manufactured, not from wear. I can't see any wear on the gilded bits, where it's usually the first place where wear is shown.
If you want to see any more angles, just let me know. I tried to get it near natural light, so that you could get a good idea of its true colour. Those will be the photos on the wooden surface.
Remember to check your sizes.
Regards,
Shelli

Sorry, I haven't been online for weeks. I've been doing home renovations.

My daughter and I measured our teacups and plates and they're a perfect match for the forest green one you have! I'll be visiting my father in Manchester, England in April. Can you give me a gross price in pounds sterling for the set plus shipping? I can send you a check in pounds sterling. If you would like to email me, my email address is <email> . I would be happy to speak to you over the phone to make the final arrangements.

Thanks so much!

Hello Barbara,

You didn't say which size you have. I assume you mean the smaller ones. As for shipping, where do you want it shipped to. Manchester or California? I can wrap them up and take them to the post office where I'll ask about prices for both destinations.
As for paying, do you have Paypal. It's really the safest way to pay. I know you tried to give me your e m a i l a d d r e s s , but this site spotted it and wouldn't let it through. Sometimes sites block them, so that you have to use their site. I'm going to try and give you mine in a different way from usual. Just remember to replace "at" with that squiggly thing and "dot" with a full stop.

<email>

(Just squash it all together, changing the second and forth word for punctuation. )

Hope I'm making sense. Fingers crossed!

Shelli

I have the same set as you, four only, no black. I bought them at Dens market Dundee around twenty years ago. Anyone any idea of value?

I've seen full sets go for between £30 - £50 on eBay. There are 6 colours in total. Light green, dark green, burgundy, dusky pink, light blue and yellow. No black. The dark green is very dark. I've recently broke my dusky pink saucer, so am on the lookout. Hope this answers your questions.

I tried to mail you at <email> , but I guess you didn't receive it. Anyway, did you get a price to ship to Manchester, UK? Please advise price plus shipping in pounds sterling. I am happy to pay through PayPal. I will arrive in England April 15th. Once I have the gross price in pounds sterling, I will expedite payment through PayPal and give you a UK shipping address.
Looking forward to hearing from you,
B
P.S.
I would need to receive this before April 22 at the UK address.

Hiya!

That's weird. It should have worked. What date did you try on? How are we going to do this without making our personal details public knowledge? That's why I was hoping we could get off this site and communicate through direct eMails. Please try again or <phone> (my unlisted number, at least it was). Maybe I deleted it as junk mail, as I didn't recognise you. You would have been out of context. Or. . .I was just having a senile moment. Standard post is about £3, if I send it 1st class/recorded, it will be between £4-£5 (They couldn't be too exact as I didn't have it wrapped at the time they gave me my price.). I'll pack it up now, and get a proper price. So all together, I would want between £12-£14. Good luck.
Regards,
Shelli

ps. You should include a road trip to Arran. I'd meet you at the ferry.

Further to this. I WAS MISTAKEN!!! There is also a black set. My apologies. I just had never seen them before. I have now, so as far as I know, there are actually 7 colours. I did not mean to deceive.

Thank you. I have them all now as well. Saying that, the coffee size still eludes me.

Adding to this though, I have acquired a matching pair of Hadley Ware Ornamental Vases that I'm trying to get valued. They're perfect with stamps. ???? Probably early 1900's.

I'd guess around $75 (ie. £50). You might get more if you sell the sets individually.
