Are you sure there is no date? It should be under her portrait. Can you post a picture?

I waited for a response to this posters question but I guess they either forgot they posted it or it was a hoax question. It's been 2 months now since the post. Guess we'll never get to see the picture

There's so many such posters. I find it annoying but I guess I'm lucky I didn't research farther.

I don't really mind a quantity of posters, but it does get annoying when posters ask the same question which requires the same answer. O well, guess that will never change.

Hello Mike - The Susan B Anthony coin is made of 91.67% copper, 8.33% nickel during the years 1979-1980

The NYMEX uses pounds to price these metals, that means we need to multiply the metal price by . <phone> to make the conversion to grams.

1. Calculate 91.67% copper value4.0192 × . <phone> × 8.1 × .9167) = $0.0657925

2. Calculate 8.33% nickel value9.8104 × . <phone> × 8.1 × .0833) = $0.0145922

3. Add the two together:$0.0657925 + $0.0145922 = $0.0803847 so $0.0803847 is the melt value for the 1979-1981, 1999 Susan B. Anthony dollar on August 11, 2011.

Year Mintage Numismatic Value Range 1979 P 360,222,000 $1.00 - $5.00
1979 D 288,015,744 $1.00 - $5.00
1979 S 109,576,000 $1.00 - $5.00
1980 P 27,610,000 $1.00 - $5.00
1980 D 41,628,708 $1.00 - $5.00
1980 S 20,422,000 $1.00 - $5.00
1981 P 3,000,000 $1.00 - $10.00
1981 D 3,250,000 $1.00 - $10.00
1981 S 3,492,000 $1.00 - $10.00
1999 P 35,892,000 $1.00 - $8.00
1999 D 11,776,000 $1.00 - $8.00

Michael, look on the thin outer rim of the coin... your date should be there. It's called edge lettering in the coin world. They do that if they need or want room on the front (obverse) or back (reverse) for overall look or to fit more design elements. Later date sac dollars have their dates on the edges
